直腸の広範なVillous tumor

A Case of Villous Tumor with Carcinoma over a Wide Area of the Rectum

　大腸の隆起性病変の中でもvillous tumorは本邦では比較的稀なもの¹⁾とされ，その特異な臨床像と組織学的特徴は興味あるものである．

　われわれは最近，直腸に広範に発生し一部で筋層にまで浸潤したvillous tumorの1例を経験したので以下，その大要を報告し，あわせて若干の文献的考察を加えておきたいと思う．

　A 73-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of mucous and bloody stools which had begun about four months before.

　There were no significant abnormalities on physical examinations except an anorectal tumor. Barium enema X-ray studies showed extensive irregularity of the rectum. The mucose of the rectum showed by sigmoidoscopy both reddish-yellow changes and a tumor, which was palpated by digital examination, looking like a villous tumor.

　Examination of the biopsy specimens obtained by Romanoscopy revealed histologically adenocarcinoma. Mile's operation was performed. The resected rectum showed very thickened mucosal folds looking like cerebral convolutions as well as thousands of small polypoid lesions.

　Finally, it was revealed that this tumor was histologically a villous tumor of the rectum associated with carcinoma within this neoplasm.
