表層型早期食道癌の1例

A Case of Esophageal Cancer in Early Stage

　早期食道癌は，1966年山形ら¹⁾によって最初に報告されて以来1974年末までに80例が報告されている．しかしながら，st-0癌はこの約半数例にすぎず，また，その病型は隆起型が多く，表層型や潰瘍型癌の報告例は少ない．

　われわれは，最近，小顆粒状隆起とびらんを特徴とする表層型st-0癌の1例を経験したのでこれを報告し，また1974年末までの報告例について考察を行った．

　A 64-year-old male, who had no complaints either of dysphagia or other discomfort of the esophagus, was nevertheless hospitalized because a small filling defect and irregular outlines of middle thoracic esophagus were found by upper G-Ⅰ X-ray series. By the following fiberesophagoscopic examination, small mucosal nodules and shallow erosions were shown and histological diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma was made by means of biopsy. This was a case in which the invasion of cancer was limited to the submucosa and cancer metastasis was noted neither in lymph nodes nor in other organs.

　A literature survey was carried out on 44 cases with such early esophageal cancer reported in Japan in the period from 1966 up to 1974.
