要旨　フジノン(株)にて開発した最新の拡大内視鏡および画像処理機能について概説する．拡大内視鏡は，小型高画素スーパーCCDハニカムを採用した電動光学式であり，高画質な最大135倍（19インチモニタ上）の拡大像を提供することが可能である．さらに，操作性や拡大観察時の術者の負担を軽減する付加機能も紹介する．画像処理機能は，千葉大学と共同開発した分光内視鏡FICE（FUJI Intelligent Color Enhancement）を紹介する．本機能は，被写体の分光情報に着目した，内視鏡では全く新しい画像処理機能であり，分光内視鏡の考え方とその原理を概説する．

　The latest magnifying endoscope and image processing function developed by Fujinon corporation is described. The magnifying endoscope is equipped with a Super CCD Honycom and electric motor driving unit for optical zoom. The endoscope can provide high quality images with magnifying power of 135 on a 19 inche monitor. And operation quality and additional function for assisting the operator's loading is introduced. Spectral endoscopy, FICE (FUJI Intelligent Color Enhancement) developed in cooperation with Chiba University is also introduced as an image processing function. This function is quite novel image processing for endoscopy, based on spectral information of the object. The concept and principle of spectral endoscopy is outlined.
