A 32-year-old pregnant woman had been treated with ritodrine for a threatened premature birth. She had worsening pulmonary edema(a side effect of the ritodrine), and she underwent an emergency cesarean section at 25 weeks and 2 days of gestation with the use of combined subarachnoid block and epidural analgesia with a high-flow nasal cannula. During the surgery, we were able to perform respiratory management without intubation and to seamlessly connect to continuous positive airway pressure therapy in the ICU.
