肩関節は人体で最も大きな可動性をもつ関節であり，その一方で不安定性が高く，損傷や脱臼を生じやすい関節である。今回肩関節疾患の中で，腱板断裂と外傷性肩関節脱臼について，疫学や臨床所見，術前画像所見，治療法と術後画像所見を含めて解説する。

A rotator cuff tear is a common cause of pain and disability of the shoulder in aged people. Radiological findings of the rotator cuff tears have a decision-making impact for patients, depending on tear pattern, extension, retraction and fatty degeneration. Traumatic dislocation of the shoulder joint is a frequent injury in the young and active population. MRI and CT imaging is an useful tool that can evaluate the typical soft tissue and osseous injuries of shoulder dislocation. Radiologists must be familiar with the different surgical techniques and their decision-making factors to make an useful radiological report.
