Interventional radiology treatment for liver oligometastases

肝腫瘍へのinterventional radiology（IVR）治療は，肝細胞癌に対するラジオ波焼灼術（radiofrequency ablation：RFA）や肝動脈化学塞栓療法（transarterial chemoembolization：TACE）が標準的治療となり手技が確立していることから転移性肝癌にも適用されている。

Interventional radiology（IR）can provide careful and precise procedure using CT angiography system in the field of interventional oncology. The liver is a frequent disseminate site for metastatic solid tumor. Although the treatment selected in metastatic settings is systemic chemotherapy, locoregional therapy containing IR treatment has a high potential to improve the prognosis in cases with oligometastatic liver tumors. An ablation therapy as well as surgery is one of the curative treatments for oligometastatic liver tumor and transarterial chemoembolization has the possibility to prolong the survival. Both IR therapies can enhance the effectiveness by combining with systemic therapy.
