It is possible to acquire virtual monoenergetic mages for evaluation of breast cancer by using TwinBeam Dual Energy(TBDE)-CT in routine works without the limitation of FOV nor increasing a radiation exposure dose. Dual energy CT is a technology that allows simultaneous acquisition of high and low energy datasets. By using two different energies, comprehensive postprocessing is able to generate virtual low energy monoenergetic images emphasizing iodine contrast. An increase in the conspicuity of iodine on low-energy monoenergetic images may aid detection and characterization of breast cancers. We inform the principle, utility, and problem of virtual low energy monoenergetic plus images of breast cancers emphasizing iodine contrast.
