Abstract

 Objectives:The purpose of this study was to ascertain what sorts of troubles married women living with stoma face in everyday life as well as the ways in which they cope with those troubles with the goal being to gain better insight so as to provide a higher level of nursing support.

 Method:Five 5-year post-operative married women subjects with gastrointestinal stoma leading everyday lives,were interviewed using a semi-structured format,and performed analyses based on qualitative induction.

 Result:Married women having stoma have become clear that the difficulties in everyday life are being viewed.“The trouble and distress caused by stoma in daily life”while countermeasures are seen as “making sense of oneself with stoma,”“creating strategies for helping to lead an ordinary life,”and “achieving a stable renewed sense of oneself living with stoma in everyday life.”

 Conclusion:The results suggest, as an aid for nursing care, it is vital to provide assistance that focus on helping women in their relationship with their husband and face the public eye, it is also necessary to provide help that accommodates to each individual's sense of value, the importance of an ongoing long-term support.
