要旨：上腕骨骨幹部の病的骨折を有する高齢がん患者に対し，骨折部の安定性を保持しながら日常生活動作（以下，ADL）および生活の質（以下，QOL）を高める事を目的に，3Dプリンタ製肘継手を用いた上肢スプリントを作業療法士にて作製した．上肢スプリントを用いた結果，除痛や装着アドヒアランス向上，ADLならびにQOL向上に寄与する事が可能であった．患者の予後や活動性，使用期間などを適切に考慮し本スプリントを装着する事は，患者の更なるADLやQOL向上の一助となりうる．

　In this study, an occupational therapist fashioned an upper limb splint for the elbow joint using a 3D printer to improve ADL and QOL while maintaining the stability of the fractured part among elderly cancer patients with pathological fractures of the humerus diaphysis. Utilizing the upper limb splint relieved pain, increased adherence of the splint, and improved ADL and QOL. Utilizing such an upper limb splint in conjunction with consideration of the patient's prognosis, activity, and period of use may help the patient to further improve ADL and QOL.
