The purpose of this study is to reveal the usefulness of three choice reaction time tasks for clinical evaluation. We continuously conducted the reaction time tasks for one stoke patient from the 14th week after the onset of symptoms until the 56th week and analyzed the relationship between the results of the tasks and Activities of Daily Living (ADL). The medians of visual-auditory stimuli discrimination task were remarkably larger than other tasks at 8 weeks compared to those at 24 weeks, indicating an impairment of the ADL of going up and downstairs. The results show that the reaction time tasks may reflect impaired information processing during ADL and might be a useful evaluation tool.
