The purpose of this article is to report the intervention of a total support network, including enlightening activities, medical examination and occupational therapy on people with early-stage dementia. Our results indicate that medical examination might contribute to the understanding and prevention of dementia. In addition, the enlightening activities of the public health nurse and the care manager might contribute to the execution of effective and well-timed home care for people with early-stage dementia. Furthermore, occupational therapy for patients with early-stage dementia and family cooperation with the home-care support center might improve the patient's function and motivation. These results suggest that a network of total support through enlightening activities, medical examination and occupational therapy may be beneficial to the people with early-stage dementia.
