働く機会を地域の中で作る取り組み—当事者の意味ある作業への支援

Creating a working opportunity in the community : Practice on enabling co-op users' meaningful occupations

要旨：地域には様々な豊かな作業が存在し，その機会を通して人は健康や幸せを追求している．しかし，精神障害を有する人にとって，その機会に制約がかかることは少なくない．健康的な暮らしを取り戻すために，また，当たり前に働く機会を求める当事者や家族の夢を叶えるために，作業療法士は何に焦点を当て，どのような介入ができるのだろうか．著者は，作業所の通所者の作業「地域において働く」に関する問題に焦点を当て，地域の中で働く機会を作る取り組みを提案すると同時に，その機会を当事者自らが選択し決定できるよう支援した．本稿ではその実践について，作業療法士の知識や技術に関する考察を加えながら報告したい．

　People promote health through occupation in the community that has a rich body of occupational opportunities. However, people with mental illness living in the community often face a great deal of difficulty in obtaining working opportunities in the community. What can occupational therapists do for people with mental illness and their families to conquer these difficulties? I made a challenge: creating a working opportunity in the community for co-op shop users while providing meaningful occupations as an OT practice. In this report, I describe the OT practice with discussions on knowledge and skills.
