Femoral neck fractures are becoming an increasingly prevalent problem. A rehabilitation program to prevent a decrease in activities of daily living after a hip fracture is important. However, there are few case reports in the literature on enhancing the continuity of visiting rehabilitation training after hospital discharge for elderly hip fracture patients. For example, an 86-year old woman regained her prefracture level of walking indoors in the hospital prior to discharge from the hospital. Her functional level decreased, and she became bed-ridden during the first 2.5 months after discharge to home. After eight months of receiving visiting rehabilitation training, she regained her previous level of function. We divided her recovery after discharge to home into three stages and determined the effectiveness of visiting a rehabilitation training program.
