Szent Györgyi1) proposed a chemical equilibrium model on muscular contraction on the Varga's2) well-known experiments and concluded for it to be an entropy contraction like rubber elasticity.Such a chemical model is easy to understand but not convenient for physical analysis,so that we tried to extend his model to a physical lattice one.
He assumed a contraction unit of actomyosin(AM)-ATP complex, autone, which has only two states, contracted(C)and relaxed(R),a equilibrium between them being expressed as follows;(AM-ATP)R⇄(AM-ATP)C(1)
