Chemical assay methods of the catecholamines in the biological materials

　1895年Olivre and Schäferが副腎Extracts中に昇圧物質を見出した後，10年を経ずしてAbel，von Fürth，Takamine，StolzらによるAdrenalineの構造決定，合成成功を見るに至つた。Barger and Dale，Cannon and RosensluetdらはAdrenaline作用と交感神経刺戟効果とは多くの点で一致するが，なお若干異ることを指摘し交感神経刺戟伝導物質Sympathinに2種類以上存することを示唆したが，夙にBacqはそれがNoradrenalineであろうと主張した。しかし，確実にNoradrenalineがSympathinに含まれることを証明するには，なお適当な生物学的並に化学的定量法の出現が期待されていた。やがて，Eulerの努力が実り，交感神経の刺戟伝導物質は少量のAdrenalineを含むけれども主成分はNoradrenalineであることを生物学的並に化学的に定量証明したのである。一方，Noradrenaline及びAdrenalineの生体内合成を廻つて，更に第三のCatecholamineの存在が示されるに到つた。それはNoradrenalineの合成上の前駆物質であるDopamineである。

　Since the introduction of the extraction method of the catechol amines by Shaw, the chemical assay of the catecholamines have made much progress during the recent decades. In the present article the fluorometric determination of the catechol amines, especially adrenaline and noradrenaline, by use of the technics of trihydroxyindole (Lund, Euler-Floding, Pitkanen, Price and Price,Cohen and Goldberg) and ethylendiamine condensation is described and the details of the technics werediscussed.
