不妊治療を受けているカップルの親密さを測定する尺度の開発

Development of Intimacy Scale for Infertile Couples

はじめに

　これまで人と人との親密さは，社会心理学および家族社会学の領域を中心に研究されており，親密さが人の身体的および心理的健康を促進し^17），カップルの関係性によい影響を及ぼす^7），18）と考えられている。不妊治療を受けているカップルにおいても，親密さは，カップル間の緊張を緩和する^6）と共に，女性または男性の不妊および不妊治療に対する心理社会的適応をはかる上で重要である^1）ことが報告されている。

　海外では，カップルの親密さを測定する尺度^{8），19），23）}が開発され，信頼性および妥当性が確保されている。一方，日本において理論的・実証的研究は少なく，親密さを測定する尺度の妥当性や信頼性が十分に検証されていない。さらに，カップル間で不妊という問題を分かち合いながら，パートナーとの親しい関係を持ちつづけるという不妊治療を受けているカップルの親密さを測定するためには，既存の尺度で十分とはいい難い。

　そこで本研究は，不妊治療を受けているカップルの親密さを測定するための信頼性および妥当性の高い尺度の開発を目的とした。

　The purpose of this research was to develop a reliable and valid intimacy scale for Japanese couples receiving fertility treatment.

　The Intimacy scale was refined by factor analysis and the final version had 57 items in five subscales ; “a feeling of basic trust”, “sexual satisfaction”, “self-expression”, “dealing with treatment together”, “sharing sorrow”. The reliability and validity were tested on 748 participants. Cronbach's alpha was .96 for the Intimacy Scale. Internal consistency was supported. Criterion-related validity was tested by using the Quality of Marriage Index and the revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. The results supported concurrent validity for the scale. Construct validity was tested by verifying of the hypothesis and by the factor analysis. Hypotheses was proved, and five factors approximated the theoretical dimensions. Therefore, construct validity was supported. “Index of deviation” was through the couples as a unit analyzed. Deviation was related to the “self-expression”.

　Although it had some problems to be solved, the results support the reliability and validity of the 57 item version of the Intimacy Scale for Japanese Infertility Couples. This research will contribute to comprehensively understanding the phenomenon on a couple's intimacy, and to provide guidance in nursing care of these couples.
