平衡機能検査総論

Overview of equilibrium tests

めまい・平衡障害という機能障害の検査としては，生理機能検査(平衡機能検査)が重要であり，めまい・平衡障害の診断に当たっては，正しく平衡機能検査を施行し，正しくその結果を解釈しなければならない．本稿では，めまい・平衡障害の診断に用いられている生理機能検査(平衡機能検査)について，その目的，分類，注意事項について述べた．また，本特集号の他稿で解説されていない一部の基本的な検査，すなわち，自発眼振検査，注視眼振検査，頭位・頭位変換眼振検査および直立検査，足踏み検査について若干の解説を加えた．

As methods for assessment of vertigo/disequilibrium, which is a kind of functional disorder, physiological tests (equilibrium tests) are very important.　For diagnoses of vertigo/dizziness, correct performance of tests and appropriate interpretation of test results are required.　In this review, information concerning equilibrium tests, purposes, classification, and caution was described.　In addition, some basic tests, spontaneous, gaze, positional, and positioning nystagmus tests and standing and stepping tests, were introduced.
