Protein S-Tokushima(K155E)

protein S-Tokushima(K155E)は，タイプⅡプロテインS欠損症の女性の血漿中に見いだされたプロテインS分子の155番目(プロテインS前駆体では196番目)のリジンがグルタミン酸に変化した分子異常プロテインS分子であり，活性化プロテインC(APC)コファクター活性が著しく低下している．これまでのところ，protein S-Tokushimaは欧米人ではみられないことから，アジア人種，特に日本人に特有の変異であり，日本人における静脈血栓症の危険因子であることが示唆されている．

Protein S-Tokushima was found in the patient suffering from Type Ⅱ protein S deficiency. It has a Lys155→Glu mutation in the protein S molecule and decreased activated protein C cofactor activity. Protein S-Tokushima has been shown specific in Asian people, especially in Japanese people, but not shown in Caucasian people. Thus, it is suggested that protein S-Tokushima is one of the major risk factor for venous thrombosis in Japanese people.
