Intestinal microbiota symbiose in host, and have many functions such as energy generation, regulation of metabolism, protection against infectious diseases, activation of immunity and regulation of carcinogenesis.Probiotics is defined as live microorganisms rendering beneficial effects on host function.Clinical use of probiotics for antibiotic-associated diarrhea, rotavirus infection, traveller's diarrhea and other bacterial enteric diseases has been reported.Evidence-based medicine needs to be applied for evaluation of probiotics in medical science.
