茎乳突孔顔面神経ブロックに伴う内耳障害

A Case of Inner Ear Disturbance Following Facial Nerve Block

　I．はじめに

　1970年隈上ら^1）は，茎乳突孔より顔面神経内にウイルスを接種することによって顔面神経麻痺とともに内耳障害が生ずることを報告し，さらに一連の報告^2,3）で内耳障害の経路・部位を明らかにしている。

　現在，茎乳突孔からの注入法は実験的内耳障害の一方法として使用されているが，臨床報告例は極めて少ない^4）。

　A 60-year-old male, suffered from severe attack of vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss following the facial nerve block for treatment of idiopathic facial spasm, was reported.

　Examinations of inner ear function revealed the loss of vestibular function and the cochlear hearing loss. The impairment of cochlear and vestibular function was unchanged for seven months. These inner ear disturbances were quite similar to the experimental inner ear disorders induced by injection to the facial nerve of rabbits reported by Kumagami et al.
