顔面外傷の2症例

TWO CASES OF FACIAL INJURIES

　Ⅰ．緒言

　近年，産業災害，交通事故の激増とともに顔面外傷の症例に遭遇することが多くなりつつある。

　顔面の外傷は耳鼻科医のみならず脳神経外科，形成外科，口腔外科，眼科など他科医との関連も深く，きわめて多くの問題を含んでいる。とくに鼻副鼻腔の損傷を伴う症例では耳鼻科医の意見あるいは協力を求められ，また耳鼻科医がきわめて重要な役割を占める機会も多い。ここにおいて耳鼻科医として顔面外傷の診断，治療に関する某本的知識が要求される。

　Two cases of facial fracture are reported.

　In the first case, a 3 year old boy was accidently struck down by the bumper of a car and sustained severe open injuries in the middle of the face that caused nasomaxillary fractures.

　In the second case , a man, aged 19, struck his head against the side window of the car in a traffic accident. The x-ray showed fracture of the malar bone.

　Both cases were treated by open reduction with wiring together of fractured fragments. The classification, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of the maxillofacial fractures arc de described.
