  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Cerebral vascular occlusion or spasm occurs almost exclusively in patients with atherosclerosis or subarachnoid hemorrhage. Despite this common belief, there are increasing numbers of cases documenting intracranial vascular occlusions associated with cerebral neoplasms.

We present a patient with a frontal lobe oligodendroglioma demonstrating en bloc vascular occlusion of the suprasylvian area in the early angiogram. Since the beginning of the year, 1970 a 50-year-old man had been suffering from head heaviness, unexplainable anxiety and difficulty in finding names of places and things. The blood pressure was high.
