脳波における左右差と脳室拡大について

The difference between left and right side on electroencephalography and dilatation of lateral ventricle

I．はじめに

　優位大脳半球といわれるごとく，左右の大脳半球に差の存在することは確かであり，形態学的な面でたとえば血管系についても亀山^1）は血管のvariationに左右差の存在することを指摘し，筆者^2）も前脈絡叢動脈anterior choroidal arteryにその分岐，大きさなどに明らかな左右差の存在することを報告している。

　大脳半球に機能上明らかな左右差の存在することから，大脳の生理機能の一つの表現である脳波にもこれが反映されることは当然想定されるところである。

Abstract

Focal abnormalitis on the electroencephalography are apt to appear on the left side than the right side in normal aged persons, neurologically normal patients and neurological patients of old age.

High voltages on the electroencephalography tend also to appear on the left side than the right side in normal aged persons.

The side which showed high voltage coincides with the side demonstrating more prominent ab-normalities, such as slow waves, in 80% of normal aged persons and neurological patients.
