  • Abstract

A 40-years-old male patient consulted our hospital complaining of the left lumbago. He underwent left percutaneous nephrolithotomy at another hospital 3 years before. X-ray examinations showed a soybean-sized foreign body stone originated from the hydrophilic polymer coating of guidewire (RADIFOCUS®) used and left in the lower area of the left kidney at the previus operation. We treated a patient with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Stone and foreign body were disintegrated, and 1 month later after ESWL plain X-ray film showed no stone and foreign body.
