ガイドワイヤー断端による腎異物結石

A CASE OF RENAL FOREIGN BODY STONE ORIGINATED FROM THE POLYMER:COATING OF GUIDEWIRE

　40歳，男性．3年前に経皮的腎砕石術を受け，術後に左下腎杯に親水性ポリマーコーティングガイドワイヤー（RADIFOCUS^®）の断端8mmの遺残が確認された．経過観察されていたが自然排出なく，異物を核として結石が形成されたため，腎異物結石に対し体外衝撃波結石破砕術を施行した．治療1ヵ月後結石および異物の完全排出を確認した．

A 40-years-old male patient consulted our hospital complaining of the left lumbago. He underwent left percutaneous nephrolithotomy at another hospital 3 years before. X-ray examinations showed a soybean-sized foreign body stone originated from the hydrophilic polymer coating of guidewire (RADIFOCUS^®) used and left in the lower area of the left kidney at the previus operation. We treated a patient with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Stone and foreign body were disintegrated, and 1 month later after ESWL plain X-ray film showed no stone and foreign body.
