滲出性胸膜炎を続発した腎カルブンケル

EXUDATIVE PLEURITIS FOLLOWING RENAL CARBUNCLE: A CASE REPORT

はじめに

　腎の二次的血行感染による限局性化膿性疾患を腎膿瘍あるいは腎カルブンケルと呼び，比較的稀な疾患とされている。われわれは腎周囲膿瘍および滲出性胸膜炎を発生した腎カルブンケルの1例を経験したので報告する。

Case is a 25 year old female, who was reffered to our clinic on December, 2, 1968 with the chief complaint of dull back and left flank pain, which started 10 days after her first delivery by forcep and perineal incision, complicated by high fever 3 weeks later, which did not subside by triple antituberculous drugs and other antibiotics for 6 months after the diagnosis of left exudative pleuritis was established.

The diagnosis of left renal carbuncle was established after various urological examination and drainage by incision combined with antibiotics resulted in prompt improvement. E. coli was isolated from the abscess.
