側頭骨錐体部に発生した血管腫の1例

Hemangioma of the Petrous Apex:A Case Report

　はじめに

　血管腫は血管成分由来の良性腫瘍である。そのうち側頭骨に発生するものは比較的稀であり，報告も少ない。

　今回われわれは，顔面神経麻痺で発症し，その11年後に側頭骨錐体部に血管腫が発見された症例を経験したので報告する。

A 50-year-old woman who had a 11-years' history of left facial palsy noted pulsatile tinnitus in the left ear.

A high-resolution CT of the petrous apex region showed a soft tissue mass with scalloped borders. On T 1-weighted MRI the mass showed homogene-ous signal isotense with the adjacent cerebral cor-tex, with marked high intensity on T 2-weighted images. After intravenous gadolinium-DTPA, the mass was markedly enhanced.

We resected the tumor by middle cranial fossa approach.

Pathological diagnosis was cavenous heman-gioma.
