Myringoplasty using thin-sliced cartilage with the perichondrium was performed in children by taking advantage of both transcanal endoscopic ear surgery and the inlay technique of myringoplasty. In general, pediatric patients are susceptible to reperforations. In cases 1 and 2, enlargement of the perforation was observed after elevation of the tympanic membrane epithelial layer and after removal of the calcified portion of the residual membrane, respectively. To ensure a good surgical outcome, transcanal endoscopic ear surgery inlay myringoplasty using thin-sliced cartilage was performed. In this study, good epithelialization was achieved, suggesting the usefulness of this approach.
