  • Look Inside

The mesopic visual acuity was examined in the normal and aphakic eyes, and the eyes with central serous chorioretinopathy by using Nyktometer (Rodenstock). All the eyes showed better than 0.7 with correction in the photopic visual acuity.

The mesopic visual acuity was worse in the aged group, especially over 60 years of age. Furthermore, the examination under glare showed a more marked reduction in visual acuity.

In the aphakic eyes ,the mesopic visual acuity was worse than in the normal eyes of age-matched group. This tendency in the aphakic eyes was observed throughout various postoperative terms.
