眼窩疾患に対するComputed Tomography—冠状断層撮影

Value of coronal section in the diagnosis of orbital lesions by computed tomography

緒　言

　コンピューター断層撮影は1972年Ambroseの報告^1）以来，臨床方面に急速に導入され，眼窩疾患に対しても有力な診断法の一つとしてその評価は今や確立されつつある^2,3）。しかし，眼窩部に対して一般には横断断層撮影（TA）の行われる事が多く，冠状断層撮影（CS）は未だ広くは行われていない^4〜6）。われわれはこの方法の診断的価値を知る目的で，通常行われている（TA）に加え（CS）を併用して検討を試みた。

　We examined 46 cases with varios orbital lesions by computed tomography with the combined use of transverse-axial and coronal sections. The accessory use of coronal section was useful in 32 cases in clarifying the presence and location of the lesions. Generally, it was possible to document each of the rectus muscles and the optic nerve.

　We advocate the combined use of transverse-axial and coronal sections in computed tomography as a routine procedure in the diagnosis of orbital lesions because of its usefulness and more precise three-dimensional imaging.
