高血圧性眼底病変と血圧

The relation between hypertensive changes of fundus and blood pressure

I．緒言

　本態性高血圧と眼については，検眼鏡による眼底検査が簡単に行うことが出来るし，分類基準となり。その診断，予後に重要である，私等は高血圧性眼底病変を認められた者にKeith-Wagener^1）分類（以下K-W分類と記す）を適用して考察を試みた。

The authors have observed ophthalmoscopically the changes in the fundus of 208 cases of essential hypertension using the classification by Keith-Wagener. The results were as follows.

1. The age of these hypertensive cases ranged from 50 to 69 and the number of pa-tients of male sex was almost equal to that of female sex.

2. According to the classification by Keith-Wagener 37.5% belonged to group Ⅰ, 53.4% to Ⅱ and 8.2% Ⅲ. To our great astonishment, there was only one case which belonged to group Ⅳ.
