左右眼別色調識別閾

Comparison of the hue discrimination between both eyes

緒言

　片眼のみの先天異常色覚，あるいは左右眼で色覚型の異なる異常色覚者の報告例は，きわめて少ない^1）。これらと後天異常を除けば，一般に両眼の色覚は同一であると考えられ，それに対してなんらの疑も抱かれていないのが現状である。しかしそれを積極的に証明した実験報告は，私の知るかぎりでは，残念ながら見出すことができなかつた。また，もし両眼の色覚が異なるものがかなり存在するとすれば，それらは片眼先天異常色覚などとともに，色覚の生理ならびに遺伝などに非常に大きな示唆を与えるものといえよう。

　そこで，私ども^2）がさきに比較的容易に色調識別閾を測定しうる装置を考案した機会に，色覚の3属性中もつとも重要な色調に対する識別能を，健常者ならびに第1，第2異常の左右眼別個について検索してみたところ，現在の通念とはかなり異なつた結果をえたので，それをここに報告する次第である。

This is a comparison of the hue discrimination between both eyes of the same individuals. The subjects are three normal cases, two cases of protanopia, four cases of deuteranopia, three cases of Protanomalia and ten cases of deuteranomalia.

Except the deuteranomalia, the hue discrimination is quite the same in both eyes throu-ghout the spectrum.

In the deuteranomalia, however, the discrimination differs from one eye to another. The difference varies greatly according to cases. In some cases the difference is definite and in some others it is slight.
