眼鏡裝用時の調節に就て

　眼鏡を装用して近距離の物体を注視する場合に，在来の方法で表現された調節効果spectacleaccommodationと実際に眼自身に課される調節ocular accommodationとの間に相違のあることは容易に認められる。この眼鏡装用による調節の変化に就ては，Bruckner, Burki, Bennett等が，夫々，眼鏡を用いない場合に比して，凹レンズではより少く，凸レンズではより多くの眼調節を要することを述べているが，老眼鏡処方や，調節力の問題を考える際に，眼鏡装用の眼調節に対する関係に就て，精密な表があれば便利と思い，之に就て計算してグラフを作成してみた。

By calculating the difference in the amount of accomodation found when that of the ocular and the spectacle are compared, a graphic chart is produced. From this chart it is shown that with occular accommodation over that of the spectacle, a greater effort is required in correction when the lens employed is convex in type and visa versa when required. When the contact lens is used instead of the ordinary test lenses, a greater effort is concave for myopic vision and less for hyperopic.
