脊椎関節炎(SpA)は関節外症状として腸炎症を合併することが知られている．また炎症性腸疾患(IBD)の腸管外症状として関節炎が合併することは以前から知られている事実である．近年IBDとSpAの共通の病態として，IL-23/IL-17 pathwayが注目されている．末梢性関節炎や体軸性関節炎が合併するが，その実態や治療方針は明確ではなく臨床現場では手探りな状況である．積極的な骨・関節専門医と消化器専門医による横断的診療連携によるエビデンスの構築が重要である．
