整形外科疾患患者に対する回復期リハビリテーション病棟の有用性の検討

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Treatment of Orthopaedic Patients in a Convalescent Rehabilitation Ward

　目的：回復期病棟で入院加療した整形外科疾患患者を評価し，回復期病棟の有用性につき検討することである．

　方法と対象：2011年1月からの2年間において急性期病棟から回復期病棟を経て入院加療した整形外科疾患患者のべ273例(女性207例，男性66例)とした．

　結果：在宅復帰率は81.9％，入院中の合併症は26例(9.5％)にみられたが死亡例はなかった．施設・病院への退院は自宅と比べ有意に歩行能力が低かった．

　まとめ：急性期病院に回復期病棟を併設するメリットとしては，スムーズな患者情報伝達，合併症に対する他科と連携した迅速な対応が挙げられた．

　Background：The purpose of study was to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of orthopaedic patients in a convalescent rehabilitation ward.

　Method：The subjects were 273 patients (207 females, 66 males) admitted to a convalescent rehabilitation ward between January 2011 and December 2012.

　Outcome：It was possible to discharge 81.9% of the patients to their home.　Complications occurred in 26 patients (9.5%), but none of the patients died.　There were significant differences between the walking ability of the patients who were able to return to their home and who the patients were transferred to a nursing facility or sanatorium.

　Conclusion：Although the burden on physicians was greater because there is a convalescent rehabilitation ward in our acute hospital, we rapidly coped with complications by collaborating with other departments.
