　両側アキレス腱骨化症の1例について報告する．症例は55歳の男性で，両側先天性内反足の手術加療歴があった．歩行困難を主訴とし，両側下腿後面に骨性隆起を触知した．超音波検査および単純X線像にて両側アキレス腱実質内に骨化像を認めた．MRIではT1強調画像で高信号，T2強調画像でやや高信号を呈した．現在は保存加療にて経過観察中であるが，腱断裂や骨化部骨折の発生に注意を要する．

　Ossification of the Achilles tendon is unusual. A 55-year-old man with previous surgery for congenital clubfoot reporting ambulatory difficulty was found in plain radiography and ultrasound to have ossification in the bilateral tendon body. T1-weighted MR imaging showed a high-intensity bony mass, and T2 intermediate high-intensity. Ossification of Achilles tendon without fracture or symptoms requires no treatment, but regular follow-up is advised in such patients because the tendon may rupture or the ossification may fracture.
