　過去5年間における胸郭出口症候群（以下TOS）の頻度，症候，治療効果などについて調査した．原則として，Morleyテスト陽性，頚椎MRI陰性所見，腕神経叢ブロックで症状が一時的に消失した患者をTOSと診断した．該当期間に頚肩腕痛・しびれ・脱力を訴えた患者は797例で，このうち238例29.9％がTOSであった．各治療の有効率は，NSAIDsやエチゾラムなどの薬物療法71％，ブロック療法約60％，第1肋骨切除術93％であった．TOSは高頻度の疾患であり，本症を念頭において診療に当たるべきである．

　We investigated prevalences, symptoms and results of treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). The diagnosis is made by positive Morley test, negative findings of cervical MRI and effect of brachial plexus block. We found 238 TOS (29.9％) in 797 patients with cervico-brachial pain. Good and exellent results were obtained in 71％ of medication therapy, nearly 60％ of block therapy, 93％ of first rib resection. TOS is not rare, so careful examinations should be done in a patient with cervico-brachial pain.
