Monro氏孔の閉塞をきたしたAstrocytomaの1例

A CASE OF ASTROCYTOMA IN FORAMEN MONROI

緒言

　脳腫瘍の中でその発現頻度が低いといわれているMonro氏孔付近のAstrocytomaで，全経過およそ16年とおもわれる1例を経験したので報告する。

A case, 54year-old man, was suffered from faint attacks and personality disturbances for 16 years and was diagnosed as epilepsy. In the course of disease convulsion, ataxia, de-mentia and periodical disturbance of conscious-ness were also occured. These symptoms were recovered for a time by exclusion of the cerebrospinal fluid. Pneumo-and Jodventricul-ography showed the obstruction of Foramen Monroi. By surgical procedure a small tumor mass and a part of its cystic changes were resected from the neighbourings of F. Monroi through the right lateral ventricule.

Histopathological finding of the tumor was astrocytoma which originated from the para-ventricular structures (area adolfactoria) and intruded into the lateal verntricle.
