  • Look Inside

The patient, a 17-year-old girl, had undergone partial gastrectomy seven years previously because of multiple cavernous hemangiomas and they had been completely removed by it. Since nearly two years after the operation she had some undetermined complaints with anemia and tarry stool.

X-ray examination of the stomach revealed two round radiolucent areas, both about 8 mm in diameter: the one in the antrum, and the other in the angulus. Endoscopically, four round protuberances were found. Their surface was smooth, of dark red color and slightly excavated in the centrum and accompaneid with bridging folds.

Careful observation has been done on these tumors and some new treatments such as endoscopic therapy and anticarcinomatous drug therapy are discussed.
