We aimed to clarify the influence of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) eradication on gastric ulcers by endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) . Eighteen cases of gastric ulcers which were followed-up more than one year after the eradication. Out of them, eight cases were followed-up more than three years after eradication. These ulcers were diagnosed as penetrating the proper muscular layer EUS. Endoscopically, gastric ulcers were observed as the S2 stage of ulcer scar more than three years after eradication. On the other hand ulcer echo of these cases was diminished slightly. A discrepancy between the gastric cure at the surface and the cure at the ulcer base was observed.
