要旨　CTを利用した三次元画像表示の一種であるCT enema像は注腸二重造影像での大腸癌の側面変形像とよく相関し，描出率もほぼ同等であり，深達度診断として有用な検査である．CT enema studyは1回の検査で腸管の走行状態や，病変の位置，更には肝・リンパ節転移の評価も可能なので，精密検査として注腸X線検査に替わる可能性がある．

　Profile images of colorectal cancer with CT enema imaging, which is a kind of 3-dimensional display utilizing computed tomography, and double contrast barium enema study are good complementary methods for diagnosis.

　Though both examinations are useful for diagnosis of invasion depth, computed tomography can also evaluate liver and lymph node metastasis through a one-time examination. Computed tomography with CT enema imaging may replace double contrast barium enema study for detailed examination.
