急性期病院における看護師の食事介助に関する知識・技術向上を目的とした言語聴覚士発行広報誌の効果検証

Effectiveness of a speech-language-hearing therapist-developed educational newsletter for improving nurses' knowledge and skills in feeding assistance in an acute care hospital

　本研究の目的は，言語聴覚士が看護師に対して，摂食嚥下に関する専門的知識の周知と定着を目指した広報誌の発行を行い，広報誌による知識の定着，広報誌が看護師の食事場面の観察・介助方法へ与える影響について検証することである．対象は当院に勤務する病棟配属の看護師とし，広報誌発行前後でアンケート調査を実施した．その結果，広報誌は用語などの基礎的知識の習得には効果を認めたが，食事場面における徴候の確認や徴候への対応方法といった実践的技術の習得への効果は限定的であった．これより，用語や外部から観察しやすい徴候については広報誌などの紙面，外部から観察しにくい症状や具体的な対応方法については写真や動画などを活用するなど，伝えたい情報に応じて「広報誌」と「研修会」を使い分けていく必要性が示唆された．

　This study examined the effectiveness of a newsletter developed by speech-language-hearing therapists for nurses, with the aim of disseminating and reinforcing specialized knowledge related to swallowing and eating. The participants were ward nurses employed at our hospital. Questionnaire surveys were conducted before and after the publication of the newsletter. The results demonstrated that the newsletter was effective in facilitating the acquisition of foundational knowledge, such as terminology, but had limited impact on the development of practical skills, including the recognition of clinical signs during mealtimes and the implementation of appropriate responses. These findings highlight the need to differentiate the use of newsletters and structured training sessions according to the nature of the information to be conveyed. Newsletters may be appropriate for disseminating terminology and easily observable clinical signs, whereas photographs or videos may be more suitable for conveying less visible signs and specific response procedures.
