「加齢性難聴の正しい理解と対応に関する普及啓発の取り組み」について

Efforts to promote awareness of and appropriate responses to age-related hearing loss

　宮城県では，令和4（2022）年度から県と協力し，『高齢者の難聴および誤嚥性肺炎の理解と対応に関する普及啓発モデル事業』を立ち上げ，加齢性難聴に対する普及啓発事業を開始した．これは，高齢者が自身の難聴に気づき，専門の医療機関へ相談・受診し，適切な治療を受けられるようにすることを目標としている．本事業では「市町村及び地域包括支援センター職員等支援者向け研修会」「通いの場等で地域在住高齢者や支援者向けに普及啓発事業」の2つの啓発事業を行い高齢者とその支援者双方に啓発を行った．通いの場の啓発事業では，加齢性難聴に関する講話に加え，聴力チェックも行った．令和4・5（2023）年度合わせて13市町村39会場1,371名が参加し，参加者対象に行った事後アンケートの結果では，内容の理解度や時間の適切さなどで高評価をいただいた．一方で長期的な効果の検討は行えておらず，今後の課題として挙げられた．

　In Miyagi Prefecture, we launched the “Model Project to Promote Understanding and Awareness of Hearing Loss and Aspiration Pneumonia in the Elderly” in cooperation with the prefectural government in 2022, and began a project to promote and raise awareness of age-related hearing loss. The aim is to help elderly people who are aware of their hearing loss to consult an otolaryngologist and receive appropriate treatment. In FY2022 and FY2023, 39 sites in 13 communities, with a total of 1,371 participants, participated in awareness-raising activities held at the community gathering places. The results of a post-program questionnaire survey of participants showed that they gave the program high marks in terms of understanding the content and the appropriateness of the time allotted. On the other hand, the long-term effects of the program have not yet been studied, and this is an issue for the future.
