We report two cases of delayed traumatic diaphragmatic hernia with incarceration treated with laparoscopic hernia repair. [Case 1]A 76-year-old female with a history of fall trauma and multiple rib fractures was admitted with abdominal pain. CT imaging revealed a right diaphragmatic hernia with incarceration of the colon and omentum. Laparoscopic repair was performed, and the hernia defect was closed using continuous sutures with non-absorbable barbed thread. [Case 2]A 78-year-old male with a history of stab wound presented with abdominal pain. CT imaging revealed a right diaphragmatic hernia with incarceration of the small intestine. Laparoscopic repair was performed, and the hernia defect was closed using interrupted sutures with non-absorbable thread. Delayed traumatic diaphragmatic hernia is a relatively rare condition, but it should be considered in patients presenting with abdominal symptoms and a history of thoracoabdominal trauma. Laparoscopic surgery for diaphragmatic hernia appears to be a safe, minimally invasive, and effective approach.
