A qualitative study was conducted using the structural construct qualitative research method with the aim of clarifying the experiences of occupational therapists (OTs) who implement individual programs using the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM) and the factors necessary for the continuous implementation of the programs. The results revealed that the continuous implementation of individual programs motivates people to join the profession, gives hope to OTs, and establishes their identity as OTs, thereby promoting multi-professional collaboration. It also became clear that creating a supportive system and increasing the number of colleagues with the same values are important for the continuation of such practice. We believe that the continuous implementation of individual programs has the potential not only to bring positive change to clients, but also to OTs, resulting in a virtuous circle in psychiatric occupational therapy.
