要旨：本研究は，「作業療法」と「リハビリテーション」に対する一般市民の認知度を調査することを目的とした．2つの言葉に対する街頭アンケートを4都道府県で行った結果，542人からのデータが得られた．得られたデータはテキストマイニング手法により分析し，クラスター解析を行った．2つの言葉は各11のカテゴリーに分類された．「リハビリテーション」の構成要素は機能回復に関連しているものが多かった．「作業療法」は抽象的な内容やわからないというものが混在していた．これらのことから，一般市民にリハビリテーションという言葉は認識されつつあるが，作業療法という言葉そのものや，作業療法の内容に関する認識は低いことが示唆された．

　This study aimed to clarify the perception of ordinary people regarding the terms “occupational therapy” and “rehabilitation”. We conducted a street questionnaire in 4 prefectures in Japan, and data from 542 participants was collected and analyzed using text mining and cluster analysis. Based on the results, occupational therapy and rehabilitation were classified into 11 categories. Many components of the rehabilitation categories concerned the recovery of physical function. Some of the components of the categories in occupational therapy were “unknown” and others were abstract. The results indicate that the word “rehabilitation” was easily recognized by ordinary people, but the phrase “occupational therapy” was recognized by only a few people.
