  • Look Inside

A case of Hunt's syndrome is reported. A man, aged 72, complained of hypopharyngeal pain at first which then changed to constant otalgia in the right ear with herpetic breakouts in the ear canal and the auricle. But, there no loss of hearing. The patient also developed a right sided facial palsy, double vision, vertigo and gait disturbance.

The characteristic symptoms of this disease are the presence of severe vestibular symptoms with disorders in ocular movements as well as other signs of cranial nerve disturbances.

Remission in all symptom manifestations were seen except for the facial nerve palsy after 4 weeks of treatment.
