Thee Effect of Bleomycin on Brain Tumor Cells in Vitro

Ⅰ．はじめに

　グリオーマに対する手術療法には限界があり，そのため，放射線療法を主体とし，化学療法，ステロイド療法免疫療法等の補助療法が試みられてきた．しかしながら，いずれもまだ，確立された方法となるに到っていない．今回，我々は．ヒト脳腫瘍培養細胞，Ehrlich ascites cascinoma cell, HeLa cellおよびMouse-Foot-Pad cellに対するBleomycinの影響を，細胞増殖抑制効果，細胞の形態変化（光顕，位相差像および走査電顕像）の面から比較検討したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する．

In order to evaluate the efficacy of Bleomycin (BLM) against brain tumor, a study was made on the inhibitory effect of BEM on the proliferation of cells derived from 8 cases of astrocytoma and 2 cases of meningioma and the proliferation of Ehrlich ascitic, HeLa and MouseFoot-Pad cells of strained epithelial origin. Morphological changes induced by BLM were also observed with phase contrast microscope and scanning electron microscope. Actively growing monolayer cells were exposed to BLM whose concentration was adjusted to 0.15, 0.6, 2.5, 10, 40, 160μg/ml in the cultivating medium for 7 days.
