Ⅰ．緒言

　交叉性腎変位とは，胎生時，腎上昇が行なわれる時期に，何らかの原因によつて，その上昇が本来と反対側に向つて起こるために生ずる異所腎の一型で，尿管は正中線を横切つて，腎とは反対側の膀胱に付着しているのを特徴とする先天性奇形である。

　McDonald^1）らは，交叉性腎変位を分類して，（1）融合性，（2）非融合性，（3）単腎，（4）両側の4群に分けたが，この分類に従つて，Abeshouse^2）らは，1959年，それまでに報告された433例について詳細な分析を行なつている。本邦では，1965年に，中平^3），坂田^4）らが，我が国で報告された40例について，統計的に観察している。

A 63-year-old woman was admitted for recurrent episodes of high fever and dysuria. X-ray examina-tions including drip infusion nephropyelography, retrograde pyelography and aortography demonstrated unfused crossed ectopic left kidney and right hydronephrosis due to lower ureteral narrowing. Left nephrectomy and right ureteral dilation were performed. Postoperatively, chronic renal failure which had been present preoperatively deteriolated and early signs of uremia developed. Hemodialysis was done and normal serum creatinine level was restored. During 11 months after discharge no recurrence of urinary infection has been seen.
