補中益気湯が著効した加齢男性性腺機能低下症候群（LOH症候群）

A male late-onset hypogonadism syndrome that was benefited by middle-reinforcing and qi-benefiting decoction

3年前よりふらつき，意欲減退などの症状に悩む。メンタルヘルスクリニック受診，抗うつ剤や抗不安薬などを処方されるも症状改善せず当科受診。採血データ上，血中遊離テストステロンは異常を認めなかったが，AMSスコアが55点であり中等症の男性更年期症状を呈すると診断した。補中益気湯を7.5g分3にて処方をしたところ服用後2週間目より意欲減退が解消され，仕事に集中できるなどの明らかな症状の改善を自覚。同漢方を服用中止後も症状の再発を認めていない。

A 54-year-old man suffered from sleep disturbance, headache, lack of energy and anxiety for three-years. His local doctor at mental health clinic prescribed an antidepressant, an antianxiety drug, etc, but his condition did not improve. He visited our clinic for further examination of late-onset hypogonadism. His aging males' symptoms（AMS）scores were 55 respectively. His biochemistry revealed 349.7 ng/dl total testosterone（TT）. To improve his general condition, we gave Kanpo-medicine Hochuekkito to the patient. His symptoms markedly improved after Hochuekkito. We report a case of male late-onset hypogonadism syndrome successfully treated with only Hochuekkito.
