A 54-year-old man suffered from sleep disturbance, headache, lack of energy and anxiety for three-years. His local doctor at mental health clinic prescribed an antidepressant, an antianxiety drug, etc, but his condition did not improve. He visited our clinic for further examination of late-onset hypogonadism. His aging males' symptoms(AMS)scores were 55 respectively. His biochemistry revealed 349.7 ng/dl total testosterone(TT). To improve his general condition, we gave Kanpo-medicine Hochuekkito to the patient. His symptoms markedly improved after Hochuekkito. We report a case of male late-onset hypogonadism syndrome successfully treated with only Hochuekkito.
