We reviewed the cases of 9 patients―3 men and 6 women with a mean age of 64 years―with primary lymphoma of the bone (PLB). Mean follow-up was 19months. Six patients were classified as stage IE and 3 as stage IV. All had diffuse large B-cell histology. All were treated with chemotherapy, with 7 undergoing field radiotherapy (30-40 Gy). Eight of 9 showed permeative osteolytic lesion and extraskeletal soft tissue involvement. After therapy, 6 of the 9 (66.7%) reached CR. Overall survival at 5 years was 58.3%. Patients with PLB thus have a favorable outcome with chemotherapy and involved field radiotherapy.
